Clinical Oncology Nurse Specialist

ECHN, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Oncology Nurse Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to work with patients who require complex care and to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment.
Salary and BenefitsThe successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of $10,000 per year, including a generous signing bonus of $10,000. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 3 floating holidays and a 401K plan with a 2% match for union positions.
Job DescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and ensure patient safety while promoting professional nursing practices.
You will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively with patients and families, and demonstrate knowledge of oncology and patient management. Your responsibilities will include conducting pain assessments, developing and revising individualized care plans, following medication rights, and performing all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Basic computer skills
- Current licensure in the state of Connecticut
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Knowledge of antineoplastic therapy, physical and psychological effects, side effects, risks, and benefits
