Fuel and Water System Maintenance

In the United States Air Force, fuel and water system maintenance specialists play a vital role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our bases. These individuals are responsible for managing plumbing, wastewater collection systems, liquid fuel storage, and natural gas distribution systems. To excel in this role, you must have a strong understanding of plumbing, wastewater systems, and fire suppression, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Job Description
  • Manage plumbing, wastewater collection systems, liquid fuel storage, and natural gas distribution systems.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent system failures.
  • Diagnose and repair system malfunctions.


Qualifications
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • You must obtain a qualifying ASVAB score, which includes a minimum score of 47 in Mechanical (M) and 28 in Electronics (E).
  • You must possess a valid driver's license to operate government motor vehicles.
  • You must be free from fear of confined spaces and heights.
  • You must have normal color vision.
