Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager Assistant to join our team at Tricarico Architecture and Design PC. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Senior Project Manager in the management of projects, including client communication, project documentation, and team supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Senior Project Manager in the management of projects, including client communication, project documentation, and team supervision.
  • Monitor all projects within the account and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Conduct field surveys and assist in the preparation of personnel reviews and employee disciplinary actions as required.
  • Direct team members at all levels of contract administration and control multiple projects at various stages of work.
  • Assist in maintaining strong client relationships, project timelines, manpower scheduling, and billings.
  • Review and redline sets of construction documents and prepare feedback to staff.
  • Prepare project designs and plans using CAD software and equipment.
  • Verify monthly with direct reports that clients are happy with work and identify additional work opportunities.
  • Direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents.
  • Send correspondence to clients as required.
  • Research code requirements.
  • Travel required - approximately 25%.

Supervisory Skills:

  • Ability to manage staff under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager, including staff scheduling, project hour monitoring, construction drawing review, and consultant coordination.
  • Provides assistance as needed within the team to meet account needs, including overtime if required.
  • Reviews tasks and time required to review tasks.
  • Maintains that staff follows and complies with all company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Requires a high level of creativity in solving design and construction issues.
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple projects from inception through completion.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural assemblies, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components and systems.
  • Strong understanding of management and administrative functions, including change orders, account profitability, timesheets, project correspondence, and scope of contract work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentation.
  • Requires strong management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates that the client is comfortable working with them.
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
  • Ability to audit RFPs for scope, services, and cost.
  • Possesses thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures.
  • Ability to develop and manipulate construction details as required for the project.
  • Highly proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft 365, preferred.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree - with emphasis in Architecture, Interior Design, and/or Construction.
  • 4 years related work experience in Food and Beverage, Veterinary Hospitals, Healthcare, and Retail, preferred.
