Project Manager (Construction & Facilities)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple concurrent construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with government entities, stakeholders, and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage budgets, schedules, and requirements of multiple construction projects.
  • Liaise with project managers, government entities, CBP management, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Support project planning, quality, financial oversight, and deliverables under the task order.
  • Develop scopes of work and project requirement packages for new projects, working with stakeholders to determine requirements and liaising with technical experts to develop project solutions.
  • Assist government stakeholders in creating and managing budgets and schedules, prioritizing current and future year construction project plans.
  • Resolve urgent or unforeseen issues related to funding, coordination, and construction.
  • Provide risk management and contingency execution.
  • Report on project progress, issues, and resolutions.

Requirements:

  • US Citizenship.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain, or currently possess, US Customs Background Investigation clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or construction-related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Ten plus years of related work experience.
  • Proven ability to perform in a lead capacity.
  • Motivated self-starter.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with industry practices and regulations.
  • DHS experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment.

Preferred:

  • Enrollment in a PM certification program.
  • Position located in Detroit, MI.
