Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious CDL Route Driver to join our team at Waste Connections in Englewood, Colorado.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste, ensuring a safe and efficient service.
  • Read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
  • Load and unload trash at designated facilities, using hydraulic hand controls as needed.
  • Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner, performing other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort

This role requires extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds. The work environment involves some exposure to physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts, and requires following basic safety precautions.

Requirements
  • Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement as a minimum.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
  • Basic knowledge of truck components to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday with some Saturdays, approximately 50-55 hours a week with paid overtime.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a commercial vehicle.
