About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Route Driver to join our team at Darling Ingredients. As a Route Driver, you will be responsible for collecting and transporting raw materials from our customers to our facilities and transfer stations.

Our customers range from small-scale butchers and grocers to large-scale food processors. You will be driving a straight truck or a tractor-trailer, collecting materials from multiple customers along your route each day.

You will be responsible for managing your route using an onboard computer and keeping an up-to-date backup paper log for compliance purposes. You will also be responsible for keeping your truck clean and completing a vehicle condition report on a daily basis.

We are looking for someone with a valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsements, a good driving record, and excellent customer service skills. Experience with truck hydraulics and two years of experience operating a commercial vehicle in a route delivery setting are preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and transport raw materials from customers to facilities and transfer stations
  • Manage route using onboard computer and keep up-to-date backup paper log
  • Keep truck clean and complete vehicle condition report daily
  • Provide exceptional customer service
Requirements
  • Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsements
