Job Summary

OU Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist PRN to join our team. As a key member of our Pediatric Radiology department, you will be responsible for producing high-quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT Scanner: Produce cross-sectional radiographs of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Patient Preparation: Inform patients of procedures, position them, and immobilize them as needed to obtain adequate scans.
  • Contrast Media Administration: Assist physicians in administering contrast media.
  • Image Evaluation: Enter technical data into the computer, evaluate radiographs, and ensure technical quality.
  • Resource Person: Serve as a resource person for hospital and medical staff, and as a preceptor or educational resource for new employees and students.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology program.
  • Experience: Six months of experience in Computed Tomography Technology.
  • Licensure/Certifications: Licensed by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) and BLS upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Diagnostic Radiography Techniques: Knowledge of techniques for producing high-quality radiographs.
  • Radiographic Equipment Operation: Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of radiographic equipment.
  • Patient Assessment and Care: Ability to assess, treat, and care for patients of varying ages.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical information effectively.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer systems and software.
