Room Attendant:
Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM – 5 PM
Saturday - Sunday: 9:30 AM – 6 PM

Job Overview:
**Candidates must have prior experience in hotel room cleaning.**
- Engage directly with guests, management, and executive staff during assignments.
- Execute standard housekeeping tasks, including cleaning guest accommodations, managing linen supplies, and collecting used service items.
- May participate in the training of new and temporary personnel on the correct use of cleaning tools.
- Adhere to established housekeeping protocols.
- Efficiently clean and service designated guest rooms following established procedures and standards.
- Ensure cleanliness in assigned areas, meeting housekeeping standards consistently.
- Implement team cleaning strategies and self-inspection practices. Inspect and maintain public and back-of-house areas to uphold cleanliness standards; report any issues to the supervisor.
- Gather waste throughout the establishment from housekeeping carts, vending areas, and restrooms.
- Regularly collect dirty glassware from various locations and deliver clean items as required.
- Notify the supervisor of lost and found items. Perform carpet shampooing and floor maintenance.
- Inform guest services when cleaning is complete to facilitate room availability.
- Report any rooms that cannot be serviced within the expected timeframe to the supervisor.
- Provide excellent customer service to faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Address requests from guests and management promptly and effectively.
- Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Respond to guest requests for housekeeping supplies in a timely manner.
- Alert the supervisor of any unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment.
- Organize and maintain linen carts and supplies according to departmental standards. Restock storage areas as needed.
- Assist with heavy items such as mattresses and soiled linens. Deliver linens and necessary supplies as required.
- Receive soiled linens from various sources and sort items by type, color, and soil level. Inspect all laundry and linens, documenting any damaged or stained items.
- Operate washers and dryers following manufacturer guidelines and capacity recommendations.
- Ensure proper chemical usage during laundry processes.
- Fold and store clean linens appropriately.
- Utilize linen feeding, folding, and ironing machines as necessary.
- Maintain security of equipment, keys, and supplies issued daily.
- Assist in conducting daily linen counts for inventory purposes.
- Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
- Possess knowledge of cleaning standards, methods, materials, and equipment.
- Demonstrate proven customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
