Lead CNC Programmer

POSITION: Senior CNC Machinist - Evening Shift

COMPENSATION: $60.00 per hour

Position Details:

• 12-month contract with potential for extension
• Evening shift: 2 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. (1st shift may be an option for an outstanding candidate)

Key Responsibilities:

• Program 5-axis milling machines and multi-turret/multi-spindle lathes utilizing MasterCam software.
• Create, modify, and support CNC programming and tooling fixtures.
• Assist with initial runs, program testing, approvals, and new product launches.
• Advocate for Lean manufacturing practices and provide technical assistance to CNC operators and machinists.
• Ensure product quality and support CNC programming, including possible day or weekend shifts.
• Mentor and guide fellow CNC programmers to achieve project deadlines.

Essential Qualifications:

• Proficiency in CNC programming and machine shop operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to utilize MasterCam for CNC programming with CAD data and 2D schematics.
• Design, implement, and maintain tooling and documentation.
• Diagnose machining challenges and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers on routing and special initiatives.
• Conduct machine setups and modify G&M code programs as necessary.
