Job Overview

MedNOW Clinics is seeking a dedicated full-time Advanced Practice Provider, specifically a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, to join our team in the fields of Family Medicine and Pain Management.

Our healthcare professionals manage a patient load of 18 to 20 individuals daily, primarily focusing on adult family medicine concerns such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, depression, and anxiety. This role also encompasses the management of pain patients, as MedNOW Clinics is devoted to assisting individuals in effectively managing chronic pain through a comprehensive and multidisciplinary strategy.

The clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, utilizing Athena as our electronic medical record system.

The ideal candidate must possess a full and unrestricted Colorado medical license along with a DEA certificate. Collaboration with our physician providers is essential in this role, emphasizing a team-based approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based chronic pain management to all patients, irrespective of age, gender, or ethnicity.
  • Implement a multimodal approach to treatment, including medication management, mental health referrals, physical therapy, and necessary interventions.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patient symptoms to identify pain sources and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all patient interactions, ensuring timely completion of required paperwork.
  • Enhance professional knowledge by participating in educational workshops, reviewing relevant publications, networking with referring providers, and engaging in professional organizations.
  • Occasional travel to a northern satellite location may be required, with travel expenses covered.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Must be a board-certified Mid-level Provider.
  • Must hold a valid Colorado medical license and DEA.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in chronic pain and medication management is essential.
  • Familiarity with interventional pain techniques and diagnostic imaging interpretation is preferred.
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working within a multidisciplinary team are crucial.
  • Prioritizing the safety and well-being of every patient is of utmost importance.
