We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Hood Container Corporation's Jamestown plant. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our corrugating and converting equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on corrugating and converting machines, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Apply expertise in electrical and mechanical maintenance to improve the overall efficiency of the plant.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and address equipment issues, and implement solutions to prevent future problems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks, including lubrication and cleaning of equipment.
  • Enter tasks and detail summaries of work performed into the work order management system.
  • Fabricate repair parts as needed, using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Excellent troubleshooting and installation skills.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Possess basic math and computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of metal fabrication, welding, and plumbing.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the success of the maintenance team.
