Job Summary:

Terex is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Shakopee, MN. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, including truck-mounted aerial platforms, digger derricks, and cranes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures
  • Follow and promote The Terex Way Values
  • Work on a wide array of equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems
  • Inspect equipment used by customers
  • Convey information to Terex team members as appropriate
  • Preside at trade shows, coordinating business development and educational activities with customers and contacts
  • Meet or exceed training requirements for self-development during the year

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic set of mechanical tools
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with heavy machinery and/or utility equipment
  • Willingness to submit for pre-employment background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in a similar field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with utility-type equipment
  • Fluid Power Society certification
  • Extensive knowledge of Terex Products

Work Environment:

  • Ability to stand on concrete 8+ hours per shift
  • Able to climb ladders and over and under vehicles

Compensation:

The compensation range for this position is $25-35 hourly. Pay is based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications.
