Licensed Physical Therapist

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 per year

Available locations: Multiple locations across the United States

Overview: Nexus HR Services is seeking a dedicated Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team. Our clinics provide specialized services tailored to meet the unique needs of the communities we serve, leveraging our extensive experience as a national healthcare provider.

Position Summary:

The Physical Therapist will assess and treat patients as directed by their referring physician. The evaluation and treatment plans will utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques aimed at restoring muscle strength, coordination, and body alignment, alleviating pain, and enhancing movement and functionality. This role includes supervising support staff to ensure high-quality care and optimal productivity, all while adhering to the State Practice Act.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review patient information and assess its impact on treatment strategies;
  • Conduct thorough functional assessments of patients following established protocols;
  • Develop and implement personalized Plans of Care that include measurable goals, incorporating input from patients and their families;
  • Administer therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians in a timely manner, adhering to established guidelines;
  • Document patient progress in compliance with clinic and regulatory standards;
  • Achieve key performance indicators for patient visits per hour, considering various clinical factors;
  • Oversee and train Rehabilitation Technicians in treatment methods;
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and other staff regarding patient progress and discharge plans;
  • Ensure adherence to documentation guidelines for Plans of Care and progress notes;
  • Educate patients and families about treatment procedures and potential risks;
  • Assist in creating home and discharge programs for patients;
  • Support the continuum of care for patients requiring further rehabilitation;
  • Participate in clinic meetings and quality improvement initiatives;
  • Provide clinical supervision to Physical Therapy students as needed;
  • Collaborate respectfully with administrative staff;
  • Work with credentialing and billing personnel to maintain compliance with payer contracts;
  • Engage in continuing education relevant to professional responsibilities;
  • Adhere to all regulatory and professional standards;
  • Provide feedback to the Director of Physical Therapy on clinical matters;
  • Complete mandatory training and certification requirements;
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy;
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist;
  • Proven competency in specialized areas of practice;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to assess and address patient and family needs;
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and Medicare documentation;
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems;
  • Preferred affiliation with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
