The Client Relationship Specialist will cultivate and maintain friendly relationships with clients, ensuring prompt responses to their inquiries and resolving their issues to ensure maximum satisfaction.
Inform and recommend new banking products to clients. Provide clients with information regarding their accounts, including balances, account statuses, and transaction histories.Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines while performing duties.
Safeguard clients' confidential information, using it solely for official purposes.Enhance clients' banking experiences by ensuring they receive timely assistance and that all their banking concerns are addressed without delay.
Conduct effective sales presentations that lead to suitable account recommendations and actively seek the client's business.Introduce clients to the Tell-A-Friend program and enthusiastically distribute Tell-A-Friend coupons with a clear explanation during each client interaction.
Assist clients in understanding their in-person and digital banking options, enabling them to choose the channel that best fits their preferences for engaging with the bank.
Promote the use of technology among retail and business clients by proactively utilizing the customer convenience channels offered by First Community Bancshares; personal use of these services allows employees to advocate more effectively for clients.
Open new accounts and service existing accounts according to operational procedures, ensuring all required documentation is collected and archived at the time of account opening.
Minimize deposit exceptions and address them swiftly upon identification, aiming for no account to be at risk of closure due to documentation issues.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
One to five years of banking experience
Demonstrated effective listening skills, with the ability to comprehend others without interruption and provide solutions based on their input
Patience and a willingness to assist others in problem-solving while maintaining a positive demeanor
Proven track record of exceptional customer service
Demonstrated proficiency in using banking platforms and common office software
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Excellent negotiation skills and the capacity to influence others
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and to stand for extended periods
Ability to sit in front of a computer for prolonged durations
