Job Title: Petroleum Lab Technician

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a skilled Petroleum Lab Technician to join our Caleb Brett team. As a key member of our laboratory facility, you will be responsible for performing various tests on petroleum products, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct chemical and physical tests on petroleum products, adhering to ASTM methods and industry standards.
  • Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare reagents and record data on relevant data sheets and reports.
  • Maintain quality records, control charts, and lab supply inventories.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements.
Requirements:
  • Ability to multitask in high-production testing areas.
  • Strong math and observation skills.
  • Excellent team communication, coordination, and cooperation skills.
  • Ability to follow standard and non-standard procedures.
  • Proficiency with non-complex and complex instrumentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of at least one semester of college-level chemistry or prior work experience in a laboratory environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel.
