The Caleb Brett team specializes in cargo inspection and analytical evaluation for the petroleum, mining, minerals, and biofuels sectors. Leveraging years of expertise and advanced analytical capabilities, we assist clients in maximizing their cargo returns and addressing complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a variety of chemical and physical tests in accordance with American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) methods or recognized industry standards across multiple testing areas.
  • Support equipment calibration, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting tasks.
  • Ensure cleanliness of glassware and testing apparatus.
  • Assist in the preparation of reagents as required.
  • Document data accurately on designated data sheets and reports.
  • Maintain quality records, control charts, and laboratory supply inventories.
  • Adhere to safety, quality, and housekeeping protocols.
  • Engage in cross-training initiatives as necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in high-volume testing environments.
  • Strong mathematical and observational skills.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork abilities.
  • Capability to follow both standard and non-standard operating procedures.
  • Proficiency in using both simple and complex instruments.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required by business needs.
  • Physical ability to lift/carry up to 44 pounds regularly and up to 49 pounds occasionally.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
  • Prior exposure to various chemicals is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of at least one semester of college-level chemistry or relevant laboratory experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Work Schedule: Rotating shifts, with potential for overtime and additional shifts as necessary.
