FleetPride Technician II Role

FleetPride, a leading distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, is seeking a skilled Technician II to join its team.

Job Summary

The Technician II will be responsible for performing advanced repairs, adjustments, and component replacements on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify vehicle system failures and malfunctions.
  • Deliver high-quality preventive maintenance solutions to customers.
  • Meet productivity and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and minimize rework.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements.
  • Repair and replace brakes, suspension systems, electrical systems, and other critical components.
  • Test drive vehicles and components to ensure proper function.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with fuel tanks, trailer hitches, and frames.
  • Align tandems, repair king pins, and perform basic welding tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

  • Diesel Technology Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with class 7 & 8 trucks.
  • Experience in repairing 53' trailers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in welding techniques.
  • Certification in airbrake systems.

Work Environment

  • Work in a non-climate controlled shop environment.
