Ranken Technical College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Performance Tuning Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching high-performance tuning techniques to students in a live work setting.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Evaluation: Instruct and evaluate students in a live work setting, performing mechanical and electronic modifications to achieve optimum performance for specific applications.
- Course Development: Assist with the development of curriculum and syllabi for high-performance tuning courses.
- Lab Management: Supervise and assist in maintaining HPRT lab and classroom equipment.
- Student Advising: Participate in student advising and provide guidance to students in their academic and career development.
- Professional Development: Participate in available training to stay current in high-performance automotive racing technology.
- Education and Experience: Appropriate degree and/or equivalent experience as an automotive tuner.
- Technical Skills: In-depth experience with engine and chassis dynamometer tuning and applications with natural aspiration, forced air induction, nitrous oxide, carbureted, and fuel-injected systems.
- Teaching Experience: Community college or technical school teaching experience preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to teach and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
