Job ResponsibilitiesThis role encompasses patient care and treatment responsibilities at the aide level within a long-term care environment, adhering to an assigned shift schedule.
Work assignments are conducted under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or Registered Nurse (RN). Participation in in-service training programs is mandatory, and staff are encouraged to pursue ongoing education.
Available PositionsWe currently have part-time opportunities available:
- Day Shift: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
- Night Shift: 10:00 pm to 6:30 am
These positions require a commitment of twenty-four (24) hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
Starting compensation is $20.40 per hour, with potential for negotiation based on experience and qualifications. Shift differentials may apply for hours worked during weekends and nights. Eligible benefits are included with these positions.
Eligibility CriteriaThis position is open to all State employees and external candidates. It is classified as a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized for a specific duration.
Applicants must possess (or be eligible for) licensure as a Vermont Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). It is essential to maintain licensure as a condition of employment.
Work EnvironmentResponsibilities are carried out in a long-term care and residential setting. Employees may be assigned to various areas of the facility and to any shift.
The role requires standing for extended periods, walking long distances, sitting, performing repetitive movements, bending, twisting, stretching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
Regular and direct interaction with residents experiencing diverse levels of physical and mental health issues, including dementia and infectious diseases, is a key aspect of this position.
