About the Role

The Apprentice Teacher position at Uncommon Schools provides a unique opportunity for talented individuals with limited or no teaching experience to explore the field of education and gain hands-on practice and training to become a successful full-time classroom teacher.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and learn from Master Teachers and experienced educators
  • Co-teach with teacher-leaders and provide in-house substitute teaching coverage for teachers
  • Support teachers with tutoring, grading, and individual or small group student instruction
  • Potentially teach one class or small groups of students
  • Develop teaching skills and take on more responsibility throughout the year
