About the RoleThis is a full-time position that requires a medical degree and licensure to practice medicine in the United States. You will be responsible for performing psychiatric evaluations and medication management for a diverse population of veterans, including those with geriatric and post-deployment combat-related mental health issues.
Responsibilities- Perform psychiatric evaluations and medication management for veterans with a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, psychosis, PTSD, and substance abuse.
- Participate in supervision and teaching in support of the psychiatry residency training program.
- May be eligible for a faculty position with the University of Miami - Miller School of Medicine, offering opportunities for education and research.
- Assist with payment of outstanding medical school loans up to $200,000.
- Eligible for bonus or relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- Salary: $252-260K per year
- Annual performance bonus up to 7.5% of pay
- Guaranteed salary increases
- 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday schedule
- 1 full and unrestricted license from any US state is permissible to work at this facility
- $1,000 per year stipend for CME reimbursement
- Liability protection with tail coverage provided
- No employment contract
- 26 days paid vacation
- 13 days paid sick time per year with unlimited carryover
- 11 federal holidays with pay
- Possible 5 days paid absence to attend CME
