Job Title: Workers Compensation Specialist

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly skilled Workers Compensation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for administering the Workers Compensation program, ensuring timely and accurate claims processing, and providing exceptional customer service to employees and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and process workers compensation claims in a timely and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with HR, management, and employees to ensure a smooth return-to-work process
  • Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and medical providers to resolve claims-related issues
  • Monitor and analyze claims data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce workers compensation costs and improve loss control

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in workers compensation, HR, or a related field
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in workers compensation or a related field
  • Experience with workers compensation software and systems
