Job Summary

The Prevention Educator - Community Health Specialist is a full-time position at Prevention Links Inc, responsible for planning, developing, and implementing primary prevention, community education, and training programs. This role requires a strong understanding of prevention, community organizing, and community planning principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver community education programs to staff, students, and the general public.
  • Ensure fidelity and compliance with all programs and training.
  • Develop and implement assessments and surveys to track and measure program impact and outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with program partners, including schools and other agencies.
  • Compile statistical information and complete reports for assigned grant programs/projects.
  • Track and maintain program data related to reporting, evaluation, and other requests from supervisors.
  • Manage and maintain program schedules and grant requirements.
  • Participate in primary prevention speaking engagements and represent the agency.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, stakeholders, and community members.
  • Participate in and/or coordinate Community Health Fairs as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience related to prevention, education, community health education, and public health preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a salary of $38,000.00 per year. Benefits include dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, retirement plan, and vision insurance. The schedule is 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday.
