Job Title: Senior Medical Physicist

Orlando Health Cancer Institute is seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Physicist to join our team of medical professionals. As a Senior Medical Physicist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate delivery of prescribed doses to patients undergoing radiation therapy.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and allocate department resources, including equipment usage, staffing, and budget preparation.
  • Directly supervise physicists, dosimetrists, and therapists.
  • Authorize the purchase of equipment and supplies.
  • Develop and administer a comprehensive maintenance program for all major equipment.
  • Develop and administer a comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) program.
  • Collaborate with the Radiation Safety Officer to develop and administer a comprehensive radiation safety program.
Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree in medical physics or the physical sciences.
  • Current license in the State of Florida as a Therapeutic Radiological Physicist.
  • Current certification as a Therapeutic Radiologic Physicist (ABR TRP) by the American Board of Radiology.
  • Three years of full-time clinical experience working under the direction of a physicist certified by the American Board of Radiology.
