ROLE OVERVIEW

The selected candidate will manage all facets of the prior authorization process. This includes gathering necessary documentation, liaising with healthcare providers and patients for additional information, and completing the required prior authorizations. Collaboration with the Benefits Verification Team is essential to confirm patients' insurance coverage. Key responsibilities include:

  • Submitting prior authorizations to insurance payers.
  • Reviewing medical records to create tailored prior authorization submissions.
  • Following up with payers regarding prior authorization statuses.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in researching and utilizing payer websites or similar job functions with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various teams to meet objectives.
  • Understanding of prior authorization processes and their impact on revenue cycles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience in compiling documentation to support medical necessity and obtain authorizations.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience.
  • Typing speed of 30+ words per minute with high accuracy.
  • Timely response to communications, including emails and voicemails.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and professional judgment.
  • A positive team player willing to assist colleagues.

WORK SCHEDULE
