Alterations Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Alterations Specialist to join our team at David's Bridal. As an Alterations Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality alterations and fittings for their wedding gowns and other special occasion dresses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that customers receive the highest quality alterations and fittings.
• Manage customer flow and deliver a five-star customer experience.
• Maintain all service levels and operational checklists.
• Proactively address customer concerns and escalate issues as needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Assist stylists in closing sales and promoting alteration services.
• Maintain a high standard of dress and adhere to company dress code policy.
• Perform quality control checks on altered garments and ensure they meet company standards.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide product and service information.
• Build long-term relationships with customers and exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Manage inventory and process special orders and pick-ups.
• Ensure alteration pricing meets company standards.
• Manage alterations, fittings, and sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning of garments to company standards.
• Resolve customer service issues in a swift and effective manner.
• Support cash wrap behaviors and process transactions with accuracy.
• Maintain the alterations room and ensure it is consistently clean and well-organized.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent degree.
• 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
• Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment.
• Prior experience with computerized POS system is a plus.
