Position Summary:
The Men's Shelter Supervisors play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to individuals seeking refuge at the Rescue Mission. Acting as a representative of the organization, they embody the spirit of Christ, encouraging guests to transition towards productive and independent living.


Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Men's Shelter Manager.


Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, non-exempt/hourly role with hours typically from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Schedules may vary based on assigned shifts and days.


Compensation:
Starting salary is $17.00 per hour (non-exempt/hourly).

- Willingness to work nights and weekends as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Gmail, and basic grammar.


Responsibilities:
The Men's Shelter Supervisors will oversee shelter guests by:
- Enforcing shelter policies and coaching for accountability.
- Following the HMIS check-in/out process.
- Providing accurate guest census data.
- Assisting with appointment management.
- Monitoring security protocols and conducting room checks.
- Fostering a collaborative environment for guests, volunteers, and team members.


Administrative Duties:
- Completing necessary records and documents.
- Conducting inspections and incident reports.
- Distributing medication and managing phone communications.
- Maintaining supplies and overseeing laundry operations during the third shift.


Conflict Resolution:
- Addressing and de-escalating potentially volatile situations and reporting as necessary.
- Communicating needs and concerns to housekeeping, maintenance, and IT departments.
- Assisting and training volunteers and interns.


Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged use of computers and exposure to screens.
- Frequent communication with others.
- Periods of mobility to complete tasks, including sitting and standing.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
