Job Summary:

McLaren USA is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas consistent with established policies and procedures. This is a technical role that requires general supervision and involves working with patients, operating and maintaining imaging department equipment, and preparing patients for diagnostic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, and address patient concerns to foster a sense of comfort and confidence in patients.
• Operate and maintain all assigned imaging department equipment, including tomography scanner equipment.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and positioning patients to correctly capture the images requested by a physician.
• Properly identify, prepare, and/or administer medications that are within the technologist's scope of practice as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.
• Complete quality assurance processes and practices radiation safety to reduce exposure to patients, staff, and self.
• Maintain all required documentation, logs, charts, forms, and records in paper and electronic formats.
• Perform all routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks following established protocol for all imaging equipment.
• May assist other areas of radiology as assigned.

Requirements:

• Certified as a Computed Tomography Technologist
• If not CT Certified, cross training from another ARRT modality to become CT Certified within 12 months.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology
• Certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent, is required before start date and valid at least 60 days beyond start date.

• Six months of prior work experience as a CT Technologist
