We are currently in search of an Environmental Consultant to become a vital part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field data collection and sampling for soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and surface water.
  • Manage office tasks including planning field activities, preparation, and summarizing reports to support site investigations.
  • Oversee the installation of soil borings and monitoring wells.
  • Lead geotechnical investigations and ensure data analysis and interpretation of field and analytical results.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, including proposals, work plans, environmental assessments, permit applications, and health & safety plans.
  • Execute ASTM Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments.
  • Support operations across eastern New England, which may involve regional travel.
  • Participate in Emergency Response services, including being part of a rotating on-call team with potential for weekend and off-hour assignments.
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate constructively with team members.
  • Be prepared for up to 70% daytime travel within eastern New England.
  • Engage in opportunities to support projects on a national scale.
  • Consider a flexible telecommuting work schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geosciences, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Availability for intermittent night and weekend work.
  • Completion of 40-hour HAZWOPER training.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other commonly used software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional technical writing and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessments is desirable.

Additional Qualities:

  • Reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work in diverse environments and varying weather conditions.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Knowledge of NHDES Contaminated Site Management Program is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan is beneficial.
  • Understanding of ENFOS and Massachusetts 21J program is a plus.
