Speech Therapist Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Therapist Assistant to join our team in providing comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals with communication and swallowing disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of speech therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
- Provide direct therapy services to clients, including individual and group sessions.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with other members of the therapy team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
Qualifications:
- An associate's degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field.
- A valid Speech Language Pathologist Assistant license or certification in the state of California.
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Prior experience working with individuals with communication disorders is preferred.
- Experience working with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices is preferred.
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
