Job Title: Center Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Center Supervisor to join our team at New Opportunities Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising all activities and personnel at the center level, ensuring compliance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mentorship to other program center supervisors and site supervisors as directed by the Assistant Director.
  • Monitor center processes and the quality of work of select staff using approved observation tools and other resources.
  • Supervise and evaluate assigned staff (teachers, family advocates).
  • Select, train, motivate and evaluate assigned personnel.
  • Collaborate and maintain new and existing community partnerships, service providers, and referral sources in the Head Start service area.
  • Assist the Disability Coordinator in monitoring the development and implementation of goals, objectives, action plans, policies and procedures for the disabilities services areas of the Head Start Program Performance Standards.
  • Assist in monitoring processes for classrooms and ensures compliance with HSPPS and other regulations.
  • Coordinate substitutes as necessary for classroom vacancies.
  • Coordinate agency-wide recruitment, acceptance and enrollment for funded slots and parent governance aspects of the Head Start & Early Head Start programs.
  • Oversee all activities related to the processing of applications.
  • Conduct home visit observations of Family Advocate staff.
  • Provide training for the agency staff involved in ERSEA.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field.
  • Two years' experience with supervision and/or management preferred.
  • Ability to pass all child care licensing requirements.
  • Computer experience.
Working Conditions:

This position requires normal working conditions with the absence of disagreeable conditions.
