Job OverviewPosition Title: CNC Machine Technician

The CNC Machine Technician is an entry-level role that does not require previous certification. This position emphasizes training and skill development in fundamental machining processes. You will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of CNC and manual machinery to manufacture precise components under the direct supervision of a certified machine operator (level II or higher). Adhering to established standard operating procedures is essential to achieve certification within a specified timeframe. For assistance with challenges or deviations, you will consult with more seasoned operators, Lead Technicians, Supervisors, or Engineers.

Essential SkillsTechnical Skills
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Manual dexterity for operating machinery
  • Capability to learn to interpret and understand technical drawings
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., email, document printing, internet navigation)
  • Fundamental math skills and understanding of Geometric Tolerances
  • Basic skills in problem identification, analysis, and resolution
Interpersonal Skills
  • Effective communication abilities with all levels of staff and management
  • Willingness to learn the fundamentals of the role within the initial months of employment
Work Environment

This position requires full on-site presence. The role accommodates both 2nd shift (2 PM - 10 PM) and 3rd shift (10 PM - 6 AM) schedules. Opportunities for overtime are available following successful completion of training and certification, typically around 120 days into the position. Overtime may involve approximately 8 hours per week, scheduled flexibly based on machine availability. The facility may also operate on weekends for additional work hours.
