Your Role:
Purpose Statement:
As a Financial Cost Analyst, you will be responsible for various financial and cost-related tasks within a manufacturing environment.
Your responsibilities will include product costing, maintaining and enhancing site cost models, preparing and analyzing customer and factory profit and loss statements, and undertaking special projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and schedules, managing material costs for designated site customers.
- Analyze margin and purchase price variances to ensure alignment with production activities.
- Reconcile customer deposits and consigned inventory with production metrics on a monthly basis.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to review scrap, tooling, tariffs, and non-recurring expenses to drive improvements and potential reimbursements.
- Support the quoting process through product costing.
- Review and authorize purchase orders, making adjustments for shipping discrepancies and inventory corrections.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including journal entry preparation.
- Commit to continuous improvement, accuracy, timeliness, and teamwork.
- Collect financial and non-financial data for internal reporting purposes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; a degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required; two or more years of experience is preferred.
- Supervisory experience is advantageous for senior positions.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience that meet the key responsibilities may be considered.
Additional Skills:
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Excel is essential.
- Experience with financial systems is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are critical.
- Basic understanding of cost accounting principles is beneficial.
Work Environment:
- Professional office setting with appropriate lighting, comfortable temperatures, and minimal noise. May involve extended periods of sitting at a desk and using office equipment.
