Mission Ready Reserve MFLC Program

Leidos is seeking passionate licensed mental healthcare providers to join our Mission Ready Reserve (MRR) program as Military and Family Life Counselors (MFLCs). As an MFLC, you will provide non-medical counseling services to military service members and their families, addressing a wide range of challenges including transitions, reoccurring moves, frequent separations, and deployments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide face-to-face counseling to military service members and their families, including individual, couples, family, and children.
  • Recommend appropriate referrals and handoffs based on your experienced differential clinical skills to military and community resources.
  • Offer presentations to address social skills development and social emotional learning.
  • Build rapport with service members, spouses, and children by attending installation and community events.
Environment

As an MFLC, you will work in various indoor and outdoor locations, including military installations, schools, and child development centers. You may experience different environments depending on the assignment.

Licensure Portability

Under the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), licensed MFLCs may provide non-medical counseling services to military families at any location in the United States, regardless of their state of licensure.

Requirements
  • A master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
  • A valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to pass a basic background check for employment, a Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance.

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is $28-$50 per hour.
