Make a meaningful impact in the lives of military service members and their families as a Mission Ready Reserve Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) with Leidos.
As a flexible and passionate licensed mental healthcare provider, you will proactively provide counseling services to address and provide solution-focused approaches to issues before they become greater challenges.
With a focus on preventative care, you will work with military service members, spouses, and children to address challenges related to military life, including transitions, reoccurring moves, frequent separations, and deployments.
As a Mission Ready Reserve MFLC, you will have the opportunity to work in various environments, including military installations, schools, and child development centers, and will be supported by Leidos' intuitive reporting tools and unlimited free CEUs through a Leidos affiliate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Face-to-face counseling to military service members and their families (individual, couples, family, and children)
- Recommending appropriate referrals and handoffs based on your experienced differential clinical skills to military and community resources
- Offer presentations to address social skills development and social emotional learning
- Build rapport with service members, spouses, and children by attending installation and community events
Requirements:
- A master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD)
- A valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist)
- A U.S. citizen
- Ability to pass a basic background check for employment, a Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance
