We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to fill this critical role at The Judge Group.

About the Position

This EHS Specialist position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, fostering a culture of safety within our facility, and collaborating with management to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations, and stay up-to-date on changes and updates.
  • Provide EHS training and education to employees, and conduct regular training sessions as needed.
  • Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and participate in root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives, and work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve safety goals.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities, including incident reports, safety audits, and training records.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Occupational Health and Safety.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
