Mammography Technologist

Ochsner Health System is seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of breast imaging services.

• Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
• Operate radiology information systems to facilitate efficient care and communication.
• Explain procedures to patients, ensuring they understand their role and what to expect.
• Independently perform imaging procedures according to established protocols and radiation safety guidelines.
• Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met.
• Participate in quality control procedures and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with staff radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

• Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or eligible for registration within 90 days of employment.
• Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
• Advanced certification in mammography within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

• Mammography experience.
