Key Responsibilities:

  • Remediation:
    • Conduct bi-weekly VMware patching and remediation for multiple enclaves, managing over 3000 assets.
    • Update server certificates for all VMware-related assets.
    • Implement security policies and procedures, including running auditing scripts for compliance.
  • System Upgrades: Manage VCenter and VMware upgrades to the latest versions.
  • Infrastructure Setup: Configure HP Synergy at multiple sites, including ESX and VCenter installations.
  • Automation:
    • Review and maintain automation scripts for operational efficiency.
    • Generate metrics and reports for VM monitoring and performance evaluation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in VMware vSphere (versions 7 & 8).
  • Proven experience in VMware installation and maintenance within a DoD environment.
  • Expertise in STIG compliance for vCenter and ESXi.
  • Experience in designing vSphere infrastructures and performance evaluations.
  • Proficient in VMware Aria Operations and PowerCLI scripting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • VMware Certification in Data Center Virtualization or VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
  • Experience with VMware NSX and Horizon VDI.

Clearance Requirements:

  • TS/SCI clearance is required.
