The Opportunity

We are in search of a seasoned full charge Bookkeeper to become a part of our team.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising the preparation of financial reports through the collection, analysis, and summarization of data utilizing QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Reviewing financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Overseeing the processing of sales tax returns.
  • Managing payroll processing oversight.
  • Preparing or reviewing adjusting journal entries.
  • Directing the progress of Bookkeeping Department projects.
  • Assisting clients during the onboarding phase, including any cleanup and catch-up accounting/bookkeeping tasks.
  • Consulting clients on various accounting matters.
  • Maintaining daily email communication with team members and clients.
  • Following directions and reporting to the Partners.
  • Exhibiting effective time management and communication skills to ensure all deadlines are met and workflow remains smooth.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working with a CPA firm, managing a team, and assuming leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop is essential.
  • Capability to manage time and stress effectively, coupled with excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to accept constructive feedback and apply it to ongoing projects for improvement.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to prioritize and focus in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comparable accounting software.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time permanent basis.
  • Familiarity with 401K and SEP IRA retirement plans.
