We are seeking a highly skilled Medication Technician to join our team at Sterling Ridge Senior Living. As a Medication Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safe and secure delivery of medications and health-related items to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Orders, stores, and assists with medications according to Community and regulatory policy and procedure, and current physician orders
- Administer routine non-injectable, oral, rectal, or topical medications, following accepted practices, as ordered by the physician
- Maintain accurate medication and treatment records
- Record medications or treatments administered or omitted on the resident's clinical record sheet
- Record reasons a medication was omitted or if a PRN medication was given
- Record narcotics administered or received on the appropriate controlled drug count sheet
- Promptly report any medication errors made or noted. Complete appropriate forms
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One (1) to three (3) years related experience and training
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug test
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Food Handlers Card
The Medication Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with residents, staff, and outside healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
