Maintenance Manager

Job Summary

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing a proactive maintenance strategy, ensuring the maintenance department is running efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and environmental health and safety, with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a proactive maintenance strategy to identify areas for improvement and ensure the maintenance department is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain the maintenance department's order, discipline, and effectiveness in a uniform and consistent fashion in accordance with manufacturing and company policies.
  • Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure the database is current and accurate.
  • Develop, procure, and maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Lead maintenance-related continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform hands-on electrical and mechanical work during projects and while assisting during maintenance emergencies.
  • Ensure all installations, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of all types of electrical, HVAC, and production equipment are performed in accordance with company policies.
  • Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and equipment events.
  • Maintain the Lock Out / Tag Out program and conduct general safety inspections of operating equipment and correct any unsafe conditions.
  • Assist with the generation, planning, cost analysis, and implementation of assigned capital projects as directed by supervisor.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5-7 years of industrial maintenance and environmental health and safety experience.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • CRMP Certification.
  • Proficiency in Windows, CAD, and Allen Bradley PLC's preferred.
  • Prior management experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 and 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
