About the Role

The State of Indiana is seeking a highly skilled Public Health Nurse Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will play a critical role in advancing and improving public health initiatives related to women, children, and family health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities to strategize, promote, and prioritize risk-appropriate care based on national and state-level data, evidence-based practices, and professional organizations.
  • Address quality data related to practice bundles, assist with education and training, support perinatal leaders, and monitor health initiatives that directly impact maternal and infant mortality in Indiana.
  • Engage with IDOH leadership, MCH team members, and key stakeholders to facilitate programs that promote the mission, goals, and objectives of the Indiana Department of Health.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Registered Nurse (RN) license, active within the state of Indiana.
  • A Bachelor's Degree with 1+ years of experience, or an Associate's Degree with 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of nursing practices and consultant roles in specialized program areas.
  • Advanced knowledge of current developments in public health and in a special clinical area.
  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to specialized program areas.
