Job Summary

The Front of House Hourly Partner is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring that all guests receive a positive dining experience. This role involves assisting the restaurant team in achieving planned sales, performing all responsibilities and tasks according to Newk's standards, and maintaining a sanitary, safe, respectful, efficient, and high-quality work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Experience: Ensure all guests receive a positive dining experience by providing exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Team Support: Assist the restaurant team in achieving planned sales by performing tasks such as taking orders, operating the point of sale system, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Operational Excellence: Perform all responsibilities and tasks according to Newk's standards, policies, and procedures for operational excellence, including maintaining a sanitary and safe work environment, adhering to food safety guidelines, and following cash handling procedures.
  • Brand Protection: Help protect the Newk's brand by maintaining a respectful, efficient, and high-quality work environment, and by effectively managing operational and product costs.

Requirements

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and guest service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with guests, team members, and management.
  • Knowledge of Point of Sale Systems: Have knowledge of a point of sale system, preferably Aloha.
  • Restaurant Experience: Have at least six months of restaurant service experience or other customer service industries.
