About the Role

We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Affairs Director to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for cultivating and expanding our network of clinical and scientific advisors, leading the development and execution of scientific content generation and dissemination, and supporting advocacy work to advance the adoption of new healthcare technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and expand Empatica's network of clinical and scientific advisors
  • Lead development and execution of strategy for scientific content generation and dissemination
  • Support advocacy work to advance adoption of new healthcare technology
  • Work cross-functionally with Business Development, Data Science, and Marketing teams to advance thought leadership through publications, white papers, and blog posts
  • Support advocacy efforts for reimbursement of Empatica products and services, including coordination of health economic and outcomes research (HEOR)
  • Review marketing communications and customer-facing materials to ensure that content is evidence-based and clinically accurate
  • Serve as a clinical subject matter expert in Empatica discussions with external clients and partners
Requirements
  • An advanced clinical degree (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD) and a minimum of 3 years in medical affairs or a related field
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language
  • Demonstrated expertise in the generation and review of medical communications
  • Enthusiasm for building relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, depending on the project, in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities
  • A passion for Empatica's products and mission
  • Resilience, a get-things-done attitude, and an innate desire to do great work
