Job Summary
Champion Partners in Rehab is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in a Full-Time (40 hours/week) SNF position in Guntersville, AL.

Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will perform physical therapy treatments and related duties as assigned by the Staff Physical Therapist/Clinical Director. Your primary function will be to assist patients in achieving their physical therapy goals, under the supervision of a licensed therapist.

Requirements
Minimal education requirements include graduation from an accredited school for Physical Therapist Assistants. Therapy experience is not required, but desired. COVID vaccination is preferred, but an exemption will be entertained. Licensure by the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy is mandatory, and can be verified at pt.alabama.gov.

Physical Demands
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will be required to stand for extended periods of time, perform a great deal of walking, and lift and carry equipment supplies and materials up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Over 50 lbs. will require the help of mechanical devices or other personnel. Operation of electrical equipment is also a necessary part of this role.

Interpersonal Relationships
As a member of our team, you will interact with Rehab Technicians, patients, and other departments involved with individual patients regarding patient progress. You will be required to supervise Rehab Technicians, treat patients after evaluation by a Registered Physical Therapist, participate in in-service training for clinical staff, and consult with the physical therapist regarding patient progress and plan of care. You will also be responsible for maintaining proper equipment and supplies, and maintaining a proper attitude of encouragement toward patients without giving false hope. Additional responsibilities include counseling patients and/or family on special problems with advice from the Registered Physical Therapist, and documenting patient treatments according to department policies and procedures.
