We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Training Specialist to join our team at Dayton Freight. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs to ensure our mechanics have the knowledge and skills needed to perform their jobs effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver training programs for mechanics on new equipment and technologies
- Collaborate with our maintenance shops to identify training needs and develop customized training solutions
- Travel to our shops to provide hands-on training and support
- Manage and update our Learning Management System to ensure all training materials are up-to-date and accessible
- Work with our IT and Human Resources departments to implement new technologies and systems
- Develop and manage our Mechanic Internship Program to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
- Participate in meetings to discuss equipment specifications and maintenance best practices
- Strong knowledge of the maintenance industry and current technologies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in training and development, preferably in a maintenance or equipment-related field
- Ability to travel frequently to our shops
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Fluent in English
