Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Project Manager to join our team at Mesa Associates, Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and project management skills, as well as a deep understanding of power industry design and construction practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scope, estimate, plan, manage, and coordinate substation projects to ensure successful delivery and achievement of project goals and objectives.
  • Apply knowledge of power industry design and construction practices, standards, and processes to drive project success.
  • Lead project teams, ensuring that project goals and objectives are achieved, and all business processes and applicable procedures are followed.
  • Control project expenditures and schedule performance to satisfy project requirements and ensure satisfactory budget performance.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams, contractors, and vendors to facilitate coordination of design or construction activities and flow of technical information.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited curriculum.
  • Minimum of eight years of relevant project experience, with at least two years' experience independently managing complete projects during execution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to coordinate with and interface with contractors, vendors, engineers, colleagues, and other electric utilities personnel at a high professional level.
  • Ability to perform broad range of supervisory responsibilities over others, with strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and work effectively with clients, peers, and affiliates.
  • Working knowledge of corporate accounting practices and business operations, with ability to travel for project requirements.
