Role Overview:The position of CNC Machinist (Setup Operator) is critical to our operations. Successful candidates will possess outstanding manufacturing expertise, a solid understanding of various CNC machinery and controls, and a commitment to excellence within a world-class manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently perform complex machining tasks on multiple machines without direct supervision.
- Monitor machine operations to identify malfunctions or deviations from specifications, promptly reporting any issues.
- Conduct thorough inspections of initial production runs to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain high efficiency and productivity levels while adhering to job standard times.
- Utilize basic machine language (G and M codes) effectively.
- Verify finished products against specifications using standard measuring instruments.
- Interpret and analyze manufacturing and engineering drawings accurately.
- Ensure a consistent record of high-quality output with minimal rework and scrap.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols established by the company.
Applicants must be available for a full-time position with a commitment to working specified hours. A minimum of four years of relevant experience, training, or certification is required. Candidates should be proficient in understanding technical documents, including blueprints and specifications, and should be capable of serving as a resource for less experienced machinists.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves physical demands typical of a machine shop environment, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, continuous standing, and the use of hands for manipulation of materials. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
