Overview:

The Housekeeper II plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest accommodations and common areas. This position reports directly to the Head Housekeeper and is classified as an hourly role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Uphold a culture of safety by adhering to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and company policies.
  2. Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding linens such as sheets, towels, and blankets.
  3. Inspect linens for any stains or damages and report findings to the Head Housekeeper.
  4. Daily cleaning of guest rooms, which includes making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing washrooms.
  5. Keep an accurate log of rooms cleaned, following assignments provided by the Head Housekeeper.
  6. Ensure washrooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, including sinks, toilets, and floors.
  7. Restock guest room supplies such as facial tissues and toiletries.
  8. Maintain a well-organized housekeeping cart, equipped with necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
  9. Handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  10. Assist in maintaining cleanliness in housekeeping areas, including laundry facilities.
  11. Deliver exceptional customer service to exceed guest expectations.
  12. Participate in safety meetings and adhere to emergency response protocols.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, with scheduled breaks.
  • Short and long-distance walking, including the use of stairs.
  • Ability to push and pull carts weighing approximately 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift weights up to 50 lbs, with assistance when necessary.
  • Frequent reaching and twisting motions required.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to varying temperatures and cleaning chemicals, with a need to communicate effectively in English. Must be adaptable to a rotational schedule.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in hospitality or remote camp settings.
  • First aid certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work extended rotations.
  • Must pass background checks and drug screenings.
