Job Summary:

This Clinical Nurse II position is available in the Newborn Critical Care Center at UNC Hospitals. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns, utilizing the nursing process to coordinate and deliver care. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, with a focus on providing compassionate and individualized care to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

The Clinical Nurse II will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes. The candidate will also participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop strategies for improving patient outcomes. Additionally, the Clinical Nurse II will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, and contributing to a safe and supportive work environment.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a current RN license in the state of North Carolina, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and at least one year of nursing experience. The ideal candidate will also have a strong understanding of nursing principles and practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
